Lions Club of Vidyaranyapura was chartered in the year 1994 by the Lions Clubs International. The members of the club include people from all walks of life who subscribe to the Philosophy, Goals, objectives and code of ethics of Lions fraternity.
The resident’s may be aware that, the initiative for conserving and developing the Thindlu tank was first taken up by the Club in the very first year its establishment. It liaised with the Forest department and held awareness programs. One of its awareness programs on the tank even filmed by the former actor and documentary producer L. V. Sharada and telecast on Doordarshan.
